Local engineering company, adi Group, has teamed up with several major Birmingham businesses to raise vital funds for Barnados, by facing off on the football field.
adi Group arranged the tournament, bringing together teams from KPMG, Deutsche Bank, UHY Hacker Young, Capita Symonds, UK CablesandReed Global, plus friends and family squads Xavi Dodgers and Hardly Athletic, to raise over £1,600 for the childrens charity.
The teams met at Aston University football field, and were supported by crowds of friends, family and colleagues, all keen to donate and cheer on the players.
Deutsche Bank emerged unbeaten and victorious at the end of the evening, with Capita a close second. Following the tournament, guests were provided with refreshments donated by S&P UK Ventilation Systems, who also kindly supplied the trophies.
Event organiser, adi Groups Varun Sarna, commented: It was fantastic to have so many teams get involved this year, and to see such a diverse representation of the Birmingham business community.
Barnardos is an exceptional organisation and we are pleased to be doing our part to support them as our charity of the year for 2015. Wed like to thank everyone who turned out to support us, all of the teams, and most importantly, all of the people who have donated.
