Following a series of employee fundraising events, Birmingham-based engineering services company, adi Group, has raised a grand total of £11,015 for its chosen charity partner, Heart Research UK.

The adi team began fundraising in March, holding events such as raffles and bake sales, along with a highly successful charity football tournament which raised over £3,000.

Commenting on adi’s fundraising success, founder and CEO Alan Lusty, said:

“adi Group has always made giving back a priority, so it seemed only fitting to make fundraising a central part of our annual activities. We’re extremely proud of the partnership we have with Heart Research UK, which gives us the opportunity to help hearts in the Midlands while also reminding staff to think about their own health and wellbeing.

“I’m very impressed by the dedication of the adi team, they have raised a fantastic sum so far this year and I know they will continue with as much enthusiasm throughout 2016.”

Regional manager of Heart Research UK in the Midlands, John Lloyd, said:

“We are grateful to the adi Group for their ongoing support. The money raised will be spent locally, and we have funded a number of research projects at hospitals in Birmingham, including Birmingham Children’s Hospital.”

For nearly 50 years, national charity Heart Research UK has been funding pioneering medical treatments and techniques that allow heart patients to live healthier, happier and longer lives.
