adi Group, has launched a new business to further enhance its service offering for the food & beverage (F&B) sector.
Providing engineering services to the food and beverage industry has been a core part of adi Groups activities since it was established in 1990. However, the business has taken a further step, which in combination with a new appointment, sees them investing to provide a specific focus on the F&B vertical market sector.
The key skillsets required in the food & beverage sector are significantly represented in the companys workforce, which not only delivers credibility to the market, but also allows the Group to self-deliver the vast bulk of the engineering projects it undertakes.
adi Food and Beverage Services Limited launches under the direction of recently-appointed business development and operations director, Michael Parkins (pictured), who has more than three decades of experience in the sector.
Michael has held senior managerial, technical and facilities positions at a number of global manufacturing and engineering businesses, with a diverse sector knowledge spanning meat processing, dairy, confectionary and pharmaceuticals, amongst others.
Michael comments: My thirty-year background in food and beverage, paired with my EHEDG advanced hygienic design qualifications, give me an extensive understanding of the industrys manufacturing processes and requirements, alongside the challenges it faces.
adi Groups legacy in the sector, coupled with its ability to self-deliver major turnkey F&B projects, were amongst the key factors that inspired me to join the company. I am thoroughly looking forward to using my knowledge of the marketplace to add to adi Groups already impressive customer list of global manufacturers.
Alan Lusty, CEO of adi Group, added: The Groups growth strategy has always been to add a new engineering service to its portfolio every 12-18 months. Via this strategy, we now have over 25 specialist engineering service divisions within the company, each one being driven by a leader in their respective field. By creating a business specifically focused on the food and beverage sector, we can now further increase the value we add to our customers in this specific marketplace.
With his impressive background and deep understanding of the industry, Michael is the ideal candidate to lead the Groups F&B offering. I would like to extend a warm welcome to him and look forward to working together and deepening the partnerships we have with our F&B clients.
