adi Group employees recently took to the stage at Dame Elizabeth Cadbury Technical College to help inspire the next generation of engineers.
The event, which took place as part of a careers topic day for students in DECTC’s Year Seven and Year Eight tutor groups, saw adi Group employees showcasing the world of engineering to students at Dame Elizabeth Cadbury Technology College in Bournville.
The topics covered during the careers event gave students an insight into the vast opportunites available to young people in the world of engineering ranging across a variety of sectors and industries. In addition, students also learnt about the various different routes into engineering from apprenticeship schemes and work placements through to higher education options and university degrees.
Tina Lusty, Group Secretary and STEM Ambassador said, “We were delighted to attend the Dame Elizabeth Cadbury topic day. The students were very attentive and showed a genuine enthusiasm about engineering during our presentations.”
