Staff at adi Group switched their adi Group workwear in favour of their best pink garments in support of Breast Cancer Now’s, Wear It Pink Day which took place on Friday 20th October.

The engineering solutions firm, which is headquartered in Kings Norton and operates regionally with eleven regional sites across the UK and Ireland, hosted a non-uniform day with employees making a donation of £2 each to dress down for the day. A total of £117 was raised by staff from the Group’s Head Office, Automotive Services and Aquapak Polymer’s divisions.

Now in its 15th year, Wear It Pink, which takes part annually during Octobers Breast Cancer Awareness Month, has raised over £30 million in support of funding research into Breast Cancer.

Alan Lusty, Chief Executive Officer at adi Group commented:

“We were delighted to help play our part in raising vital funds in support of Breast Cancer now through the Wear It Pink initiative. adi Group staff have supported the annual event for numerous years as part of our Charity and Fundraising programme and this year was no different. It was heart-warming to see so many staff from across our various sites get into the spirit of the event by wearing pink for the day. We look forward to taking part again in next years event.”
