Staff at adi Group swapped their workwear in favour of Christmas Sweaters to help raise money for its chosen charity partner, Heart Research UK.

By donating just £2, employees wore their most festive jumpers to support pioneering research and help hearts across the UK. A grand total of £76 was raised by the engineering firms head office employees located at its Kings Norton base.

The adi team has been fundraising for Heart Research since 2015, raising a total of over £20,000 through numerous fundraising events ranging from raffles, dress down days and cake bakes, through to its popular annual charity football tournament.

Heart Research UK is a visionary charity that has been helping hearts since 1967. It funds ground-breaking medical research that benefits patients as soon as possible. Over the last 50 years, the charity has funded over £24m on medical research in hospitals and universities across the UK and £2.1m on innovative community-based lifestyle projects.

Claire Frays, Communications Officer at adi Group commented:

“We were delighted to host our annual Christmas Jumper Dress Down Day once again in support of Heart Research UK.

“The event marks our final fundraising dress down event of the year for the charity. It was great to see so many members of our staff get into the holiday spirit whilst also playing an active role in our fundraising initiatives”

“Seeing the jumpers that staff select each year is a high point and this year was no different ranging from snowmen, holographic owls and singing jumpers through to popular movie characters and even rock bands!”

The Group is set to close its fundraising year with a charity raffle for Heart Research at its annual Employee Awards Gala later this month and will continue to support the charity with its fundraising activities during 2018.
