Staff from adi Building & Refurbishment, the adi Group’s specialist construction division, helped put STEM skills on the map at Hydesville Tower School’s Careers event.
The ‘One Job Challenge’ Career Day event which formed part of Hydesville Tower’s National Careers Week events coincided with a variety of activities covering classes and pupils of all ages at the school ranging from attending careers, apprenticeship and higher education fairs, meeting apprentices.
The day saw pupils from the schools year seven and year eight contingent meet employers from in and around the local Walsall area and engage in meaningful discussions about the world of work and possible routes to employment. The adi team spoke about their routes into the world of construction and engineering as well as what they have learned along the way.
David Beebee, Managing Director at adi Building & Refurbishment who attended the event said, ” The adi B&R team had a fantastic day at the One Job Challenge event at Hydesville Tower School as part of their NCW 2019 activities. It was fulfilling to be able to pass on our careers experiences to the next generation.”
