Last week, adi Group’s specialist construction division, adi Building & Refurbishment, attended an event at Willenhall E-ACT Academy to work with Year 10  students on improving their Interview Skills.

The event hosted by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce saw representatives from employers across the region including AF Blakemore, Assa Abloy, TATA Steel, Howell’s Glazing, In Comm Training, University of Wolverhampton and Reece Savage support students with mock interview sessions.

Getting young people ready for the working world is vital to help them achieve their ambitions, which will help to reduce the Skills Gap and help young people prepare for the workplace following completion of their education.

Lisa Cole (Business Co-Ordinator) and Adrian Adams (Constructor Director) were so impressed with the students, with Lisa saying, “There was such a diverse mix but every single one was enthusiastic and engaged. It was such a rewarding day and I hope they got as much out of it as I did!”.

Adrian added, “A fantastic event to be involved with always gives me a feeling of giving back, building for the pupils future”.

Thank you Willenhall E-ACT and Black Country Chamber of Commerce – BCCC for inviting us.
